Greetings from Papua New Guinea and please accept my late condolence to the Ekwempu family. I am actually shocked to read about our own dear Prof Ekwempu passing. I was the last and only OBs &GYNae Resident(house Officer) to be trained by Prof in 1999 at Goroka Base Hospital before he left the country back to Nigeria. Prof is tough, punctual, patient advocate and is a great teacher. He knew what he wanted from each junior doctor in his unit... I learned a lot from Prof for the four months I was in his unit before he left PNG for Nigeria. May the soul of Prof CC Ekwempu rest in perfect peace. Amen. Max Yawingu
