You were organised even in the shadow of death... just a few days to your departure you ... gave me full details of the funeral arrangements you wanted... down to what you would wear. You were a lover of nature and of adventure. You introduced me to such hobbies as fishing and gardening. I loved sports because of your record as a sports man and your numerous achievements in that area. My love and appreciation for God and His house started simply by standing by your side as a child and listening to you ... singing the base line for "Abide with me" at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Zaria. As an academic, the enviable heights you achieved amazed me, ..., your achievements will always be a beacon for me. You were the giant on whose shoulders I stood to get a head start in life. Your departure has created a vacuum in the family that will be difficult to fill. That I miss you is an understatement, but my consolation is that we will soon meet again at the bosom of the Lord.
