80 years, thanks be to God. It does not feel like nearly that long and yet the footprints you left in the sands of time all clearly indicate that this is true. What a wonderful privilege to share in your life; what an honour to have known you. Your influences over my life, your kind but firm words of wisdom, your gentle reprimand and your constant encouragement; these are the precious gifts I will always hold dear. But of all the things you gave to the world and to me, your love will always be in my heart and not even death can extinguish the flame.
