Greetings from Papua New Guinea and please accept my late condolence to the Ekwempu family. I am actually shocked to read that our own dear Prof Ekwempu passing. I was the last and only OBs and GYNae Resident(house Officer) to be trained by Prof in 1999 at Goroka Base Hospital before he left the country back to Nigeria. Prof is tough, punctual, patient advocate and is a great teacher. He knew what he wanted from each junior doctors in his unit. Because of Prof's toughness none of my colleagues want to do their Obs & Gynae rotation under him before he left. I learned alot from prof for the four months I was under his unit before he left PNG for Nigeria. May the soul of Prof CC Ekwempu rest in perfect peace. Amen. Max Yawingu
